Service Description
As yogis, we know that the breath has an enormous capacity to shift our perspective. We use our breath in each and every posture we do. In this workshop we will dive into the mechanics of the breath. How does our breath impact our nervous system? How can we breathe a little better? How does the breath impact our yoga practice? We will start with an anatomy based lecture looking at exactly how the diaphragm works, and what impacts it. We will mostly be on our mats experiencing this part of the body. Of course we will enjoy a lovely breathing practice, as well as a practice opening up parts of the body to help us breath a little better. There will be time for some personal feedback as well as questions. Props you will need: Yoga mat wall space yoga strap (8' or 10') two yoga blocks sturdy chair with a back.
